SEO MonsterCrypto SEO Agency

Crypto SEO Agency for Exchanges, Wallets, DeFi and Blockchain Companies

Search is the acquisition channel a crypto product can own while ad accounts are gated country by country. We make your site rank for what users search before they deposit or connect a wallet, and measure it in sign-ups rather than traffic.

Fixed-fee audit, two weeks, no retainer to start.

Best for
Exchanges and brokers, wallets and payment apps, DeFi protocols, and infrastructure companies whose buyers search docs and comparisons before they call.
What you get
Technical SEO, keyword and page strategy, the fee, safety and comparison pages, editorial links, brand-result work and AI-answer visibility under one plan.
Price
Fixed-fee audit, $6,500, delivered in two weeks. Retainers from $6,000 a month. Thirty days’ notice, no minimum term.
How we work
No private link networks, no unlabelled paid links, no thousands of thin token pages. Every link shown to you before it is bought, and the link list is yours.
Timeline
Technical fixes and brand queries move inside weeks. Fee, comparison and how-to pages in the first quarter. Head terms such as “best crypto exchange” take two to three quarters and longer for a new brand.
Measured by
Non-brand clicks and the queries behind them, and sign-ups, funded accounts or wallet connections from organic, read from your analytics. Rankings alone are not reported as a result.

What AI tells your users, and which pages it reads

Search no longer ends on the results page: the user asks an assistant too, and the assistant reads pages that rank. We measured which ones.

On 23 October 2026 we put 36 questions to Perplexity and to ChatGPT with web search, the kind a user asks before choosing: the safest exchange for a beginner in the US, the UK or the EU, the most secure hardware wallet, where to earn yield on stablecoins, which lending protocol is safest, where to stake ETH, how to tell whether a new token is legit, the best crypto debit card, the best crypto tax software. Every question asked for a recommendation, so every answer names products, and we read which pages each answer was built from.

What we measuredResultWhat it means for you
Cited pages that are a ranked list or a comparison69% on Perplexity (246 of 358 citations), 73% on ChatGPT (56 of 77)The pages answers are built from are the shapes users search: “best”, “vs”, “is it safe”. Those are the pages to build, and the lists to be on.
Citations on the own site of a project the answer recommends6% on Perplexity (22 of 348). In 15 of those 22 the page was the project’s own “best of” list ranking itself among competitorsWhen a project’s own site gets into the answer, it is usually its comparison page. A product page alone rarely does.
Coinbase, the brand named most oftenNamed in 12 Perplexity and 16 ChatGPT answers. coinbase.com cited in none of themRanking your homepage for your own name is not being the source. The source is the page that answers the question the user asked.
Citations on another crypto company’s blog or learn pages30% on Perplexity (105 of 348), in 32 of 36 answers. A tax-software company is the fourth most-cited domain, for its pages on the best exchangesOther crypto companies win these citations with their guides. That is search content any product can build on its own domain.
Answers citing crypto media27 of 36 on Perplexity, but 32 of the 50 media citations are the outlet’s own ranked lists, not news. 2 of 36 on ChatGPTCrypto-media links are worth less than their logos suggest: much of what gets cited is their list pages, and their paid posts carry sponsored links.
ChatGPT answers given without searching the web11 of 36, including both stablecoin-safety questions and all five questions about whether a new token is legitSearch work moves the answers that search. For the ones that do not, the lever is coverage over time, which is the PR side of the plan.
Reddit, YouTube and regulators citedReddit 8 citations of 358, YouTube 0, regulators 2, on Perplexity. None of the three on ChatGPTThreads are a small source in these answers, but they rank in Google for review and “legit” queries, which is where they earn the work.

One domain makes the point. The fourth most-cited site in Perplexity’s answers was a crypto tax-software company, cited for its pages about the best exchanges and cards, not about tax. The company that publishes the category’s comparison pages is cited for the category.

Method: Perplexity (sonar) and ChatGPT (gpt-4.1-mini with web search) through the API, 23 October 2026, one answer per question, 36 questions in eight categories, US unless the question was about the UK or the EU. A source is a distinct page the answer cites; ChatGPT’s logo links above each product it lists are not counted. Domains were classified by hand and five answers checked against the raw responses. A small sample, read as a direction: Perplexity returns at most ten sources an answer, so its ten is a ceiling, not a finding.

What crypto users search before they choose

Four query shapes come before a deposit, and each is won by a different kind of page. Most crypto sites have the product page and none of the others.

Google Ads search volume, US, monthly average, pulled 23 October 2026. These are the largest brands; the same shapes exist for every exchange and wallet at a smaller scale, and the audit measures yours. Google returns no volume for some crypto terms, such as “how to buy bitcoin”, so those are left out rather than guessed.

Why crypto SEO is a different discipline

Most of what works in other categories works here. Five things do not, and they decide whether the work holds a year later.

  1. 1

Your own geo-block can hide you from Google

Googlebot’s default crawler addresses are in the US, and Google tells sites to treat it like any visitor from that country. An exchange that blocks US users blocks much of Google’s crawling with them, unless the plan accounts for it.

  2. 2

Your ticker belongs to the aggregators

Searches for a token’s name and ticker are won by price aggregators and exchanges’ asset pages. A project wins the queries around them, what it is, how to buy it, whether it is safe, how it compares, with pages built for each.

  3. 3

Asset and pair pages are thin by default

Thousands of near-identical price, pair and “how to buy” pages cost crawl and rankings across the site. They rank when each carries something specific, fees, networks, availability by country, and they are pruned when they do not.

  4. 4

Investing content is read at the highest bar

Google’s rater guidelines treat content about investing money as “Your Money or Your Life”. Named authors with real expertise, sources, fees and risks stated plainly, and a company that is easy to identify decide whether a page is trusted.

  5. 5

The link market is mostly sponsored

Crypto-media placements are sold, and Google wants paid links marked sponsored or nofollow. What passes value is editorial: coverage, integration partners’ docs, data others cite. We build those, and label anything we buy.

What we do

Six services, one plan. Most projects start with the audit and add the rest as the plan proves out.

Technical SEO for crypto sites

Rendering for React and Next.js dApps, docs on subdomains and doc platforms, geo restrictions planned against crawling, asset and pair estates, migrations. Fixes written as tickets your developers can pick up.

Output: a site Google crawls and indexes the way you intend.

Keyword and page strategy

Demand measured for your product type, the results read for what actually wins them, and a page map with one primary query per page so your own pages never compete with each other.

Output: the page list for the next two quarters, with the reason for each.

Trust and comparison pages

The pages users search before depositing: fees with worked examples, security and custody, licences by country, honest comparisons, how-to guides. Written to the promotion rules of each market.

Output: the pages that win “safe”, “fees” and “vs” searches.

Editorial links

Links from coverage, integration partners, ecosystem docs and data others cite, chosen for traffic and topic. Anything paid is marked sponsored and shown to you before it is bought.

Output: a link profile you would show Google, and the list of it.

Brand results

What appears for your name with “review”, “safe”, “fees” or “scam”: your own pages answering it, coverage that holds up, and phishing clones of your site reported to Google and the hosts.

Output: a first page for your name that converts the user already looking for you.

AI visibility

A tracked prompt set for your category, the pages the answers cite, and the work that makes yours one of them, on Perplexity, ChatGPT and Google’s AI Overview.

Output: mentions and citations on prompts you chose, reported monthly.

Who this is for, and who it is not for

Search rewards products people keep using. It fails three kinds of brief, so we say which before the call.

For

  • Exchanges, brokers and on-ramps

Where fee, safety, asset and “how to buy” searches bring funded accounts, and where the site’s size and geo rules make technical SEO the first job.

  • Wallets, cards and payment apps

Products users compare on “best” lists and “is it safe” searches before they install.

  • DeFi protocols and infrastructure

Where Google Ads is closed to the product, and docs, explainers and developer comparisons decide who gets used.

Not for

  • A token launching in eight weeks

Search will not rank you by the launch date. Coverage and your brand results come first, and search starts in parallel for afterwards.

  • Thousands of generated token pages

Mass-produced pages are what Google’s scaled-content policy targets, whatever wrote them. We build fewer pages that carry something specific.

  • Crypto casinos outside a licence

Crypto gambling goes through our iGaming policy: licensed brands only, one operator per market.

What the promotion rules change for search

The rules that govern a crypto ad govern the page it points to, and the learn pages around it. Here is the short version for the markets we are asked about most.

WhereRuleWhat it changes for organic work
United KingdomFCA financial promotions regime for qualifying cryptoassets, in force since 8 October 2023 (COBS 4.12A)A promotion to UK consumers, from any country, must be made or approved by an FCA-authorised firm or made by an FCA-registered crypto firm, and carry the FCA risk warning. Incentives to invest are banned, refer-a-friend bonuses included. The registered-firm route ends on 25 October 2027, when the new UK regime starts
United Kingdom, social mediaFCA guidance FG24/1 on financial promotions on social media, March 2024Influencers and affiliates who promote crypto without an authorised firm’s approval may be committing a criminal offence. A paid post needs an approved promotion behind it
European UnionMiCA, Regulation (EU) 2023/1114, applying in full since 30 December 2024. Every national transitional period had ended by 1 July 2026Marketing for a token must be identifiable as marketing, fair, clear and not misleading, and consistent with its white paper, and it cannot start before the white paper is published. A service provider needs MiCA authorisation to serve EU clients
United StatesSecurities Act section 17(b); FTC Endorsement Guides, revised July 2023Anyone paid to promote a token that is a security must disclose the payment and its amount: the SEC settled with Kim Kardashian for $1.26 million over one undisclosed post in October 2022. Paid endorsements must be disclosed clearly and conspicuously
Google, Meta and X adsEach platform’s crypto advertising policy, as read on 23 October 2026Exchanges and wallets need a local licence and platform certification, country by country. Google Ads does not accept ICOs, DeFi trading protocols or trading-signal sites anywhere
Google SearchSearch quality rater guidelines, September 2025; spam policies, updated 28 August 2026Content about investing money is read at the “Your Money or Your Life” bar: who wrote it, what it is based on, whether fees and risks are stated. Links in paid press releases and sponsored posts must carry nofollow or sponsored; keyword-anchored paid links are link spam

What this means for the plan

A learn page can be a promotion

In the UK a page that invites people to buy a token is a financial promotion, with the risk warning and an approval route. A guide that explains without inviting is not. We write the first kind only with your compliance sign-off.

Fee, yield and staking pages carry the claims

They are the pages that rank and the pages a regulator reads. They are written fair, clear and not misleading, the standard MiCA sets for marketing, with risks stated beside returns.

Paid links are marked as paid

Sponsored posts and press releases carry sponsored or nofollow links, as Google’s spam policies require. They are bought for readers, not for ranking credit.

Organic is often the only channel

Google Ads does not accept DeFi trading protocols, and exchanges and wallets need certification per country. For many crypto products search and AI answers are the main way new users arrive.

Checked at the regulators’ and the platforms’ own pages on 23 October 2026. This is how the rules shape our work, not legal advice: whether a promotion is approved is your compliance team’s or your approver’s decision, and we plan the content around it.

How we work

Four stages. You can stop after the first and keep everything we found.

  1. 1

    Audit

    Two weeks, fixed fee

Where you rank and for what, who outranks you and with what kind of page, what blocks crawling and indexing, the demand for your product type, and what the AI answers say about you. Delivered as a prioritised plan, not a crawl export.

    You keep: the plan.

  2. 2

    Foundations

    Month 1 to 3

Technical fixes, indexation, geo rules against crawling, the asset and pair estate, and the fee, safety and comparison pages. The work that makes everything after it cheaper.

You keep: a clean, indexable site with the trust pages live.

  3. 3

    Authority

    Month 2 onwards

Guides and comparison content, editorial links, brand results and AI citations, run together so they build one entity rather than three campaigns.

You keep: a content estate and a link list that are yours.

  4. 4

    Scale

    Quarter 2 onwards

More assets, languages and markets on the system proven in the first, with reporting that shows what each returns.

You keep: an organic channel with its own numbers.

What we report

Monthly: non-brand clicks and the queries behind them; sign-ups, funded accounts or wallet connections attributed to organic, from your analytics; what the first page for your name shows; mentions and citations on the tracked AI prompt set. Rankings and traffic alone are not results and are not reported as one.

Proof

We do not publish client results we are not cleared to name. In crypto SEO you should ask any agency for Search Console, not a screenshot of a counter. Here is what we show instead.

On a call

Search Console and analytics data from the properties we run, with the client’s permission: the queries, the pages and the dates.

On this page

Our own measurement, with method and date: the 36 user questions above and the search demand behind them. And the buyer side: on 21 and 22 October 2026 we asked ChatGPT and Perplexity the questions a founder asks, including “who can get a crypto exchange ranking in Google” and “what should I ask a crypto SEO agency before signing”. Neither named a single agency for either. This page answers both.

Read the measurement

Pricing and what drives it

Two numbers are fixed; the rest depends on four things we can name.

The audit is $6,500, fixed

Delivered in two weeks as a prioritised plan. If we are not the right fit we say so in it, and the plan is yours to run with anyone.

Retainers start at $6,000 a month

For one product in one language. Thirty days’ notice, no minimum term.

What moves the retainer

The size of the estate, since an exchange with thousands of asset and pair pages is not a protocol with a docs site; the number of languages and markets; how much authority the category needs; and whether a migration, a geo fix or brand repair comes first.

What is billed separately, and what is not

Any paid placement is billed separately, shown with its price and link type before it is bought. Reporting, the tracked AI prompt set, developer tickets and calls are not extra.

Agency, freelancer or in-house

The buyer’s real comparison is not us against another agency. It is this.

Specialist agencyFreelancerIn-house team
StartWeeksDaysA quarter or two to hire
CoversTechnical, content, links, brand results, AIOne or two of thoseWhat you can hire for
Monthly costFrom $6,000$2,000 to $6,000Two to four salaries plus tools
Risk controlPolicies in the contract, links shown before purchaseDepends on the personYours, if you know what to ask for
Best whenLaunching, recovering, or entering new marketsA defined task with an owner on your sideSeveral products and markets with organic already a major channel
Fails whenYou need someone inside your codebase dailyThe task becomes a programmeThe team has not done crypto search before and learns on your budget

For a single product the usual answer is the agency, with one owner on your side who can ship changes. For a larger exchange it is an in-house lead with specialists for what it cannot hire. We work in both setups.

What to ask a crypto SEO agency before signing

Including us. The answers tell you more than the pitch.

  1. 1

Show me a crypto site you grew, in Search Console.

    Expect
Queries, pages and dates, from the property itself, or a named reason they cannot and an offer to show it on a call.
    Us
    The second, see Proof.
  2. 2

How do you build links, and which of them are paid?

    Expect
Editorial sources named; paid placements listed, priced and marked sponsored.
    Us
Every link is shown before it is bought, and the list is yours.
  3. 3

What will you audit in the first 30 days and deliver in the first 90?

    Expect
Named deliverables, not a strategy deck.
    Us
The audit at two weeks; technical fixes and the fee, safety and comparison pages by 90 days.
  4. 4

How will you handle our geo restrictions and Google’s crawler?

    Expect
A specific answer about what is blocked, for whom, and how Google sees it.
    Us
It is part of the audit, before anything else is built.
  5. 5

What happens to our asset and pair pages?

    Expect
Which get indexed, which get improved, which get pruned, and why.
    Us
A decision per page type, with the evidence from your own data.
  6. 6

Who writes the content, and who checks the claims?

    Expect
Writers who use crypto products, and a check against the promotion rules of your markets.
    Us
Both, and your compliance sign-off where a page could invite investment.
  7. 7

Do you report rankings, or sign-ups?

    Expect
Sign-ups or funded accounts from organic, beside the queries that brought them.
    Us
Both, monthly. Rankings alone are not reported as a result.

What we do not promise

Four things you will hear elsewhere and not here.

A position by a date

We forecast, show the plan and the milestones, and report against them.

Rankings by your launch

Search takes quarters. If the launch is in weeks, coverage comes first.

Links nobody labelled

Paid links are marked sponsored. We will not risk your domain on the rest.

Risk you did not sign off

Every part of the plan that carries risk is named as such, with the downside, before it runs.

Questions

What should I ask a crypto SEO agency before signing?

Ask to see a crypto site it grew in Search Console, how it builds links and which are paid, what it delivers in the first 30 and 90 days, how it handles your geo restrictions and Google’s crawler, what happens to your asset pages, who checks the claims, and whether it reports sign-ups. The list above is the long form.

Who can get a crypto exchange ranking in Google?

An agency that fixes crawling first, because many exchanges block the US addresses Googlebot crawls from, then builds the fee, safety, comparison, asset and “how to buy” pages users search, and earns editorial links. Head terms like “best crypto exchange” take quarters; brand, fee and comparison queries move first.

Who does SEO for a DeFi protocol?

We do. For a protocol, Google Ads is closed and search is the main channel: docs that rank, explainers on how the protocol works and what the risks are, yield and integration pages, and the comparison and “is it safe” queries users run before they deposit.

We need organic traffic for a crypto wallet. Where do we start?

With the searches a user runs before installing: the “best wallet” lists you need to be on, “is it safe” and comparison queries about you, and support pages that answer setup and recovery questions. The audit measures which of these exist for your wallet and who wins them today.

How much does crypto SEO cost?

Ours starts at $6,000 a month for one product in one language, after a $6,500 fixed-fee audit. Across the category, AI assistants quote buyers $3,000 to $10,000 a month for organic content and SEO, and Google’s AI Overview quotes blockchain SEO from about $1,500 to over $25,000 a month.

How long does crypto SEO take?

Technical fixes and brand queries move inside weeks; fee, comparison and how-to pages in the first quarter; competitive head terms take two to three quarters, longer for a new brand. Anyone promising rankings by your token launch is selling something that will not hold.

Do you guarantee rankings?

No. Nobody controls Google’s results. We commit to the work, the milestones and what we report, and we name the risk in any part of the plan before it runs.

Can ChatGPT do our SEO?

It can draft. It cannot see your Search Console, fix your crawling, earn editorial links or check a claim against the promotion rules of your markets. And Google’s spam policies target content produced at scale to manipulate rankings, whatever wrote it.

Do you do SEO for crypto casinos?

Yes, under our iGaming policy: licensed brands only, one operator per market. The iGaming SEO page covers how that work runs.

Start with the audit.

Tell us the product and the markets. We come back in two weeks with what blocks your site, what users search before choosing a product like yours, who wins it today, and what the first quarter would look like. If we are not the right fit we will say so.

We reply within one business day, from a person.

Two fields. We work the rest out on the call.
