What a player finds next to a casino’s name
Reputation in this category is mostly a page of search results. We read those pages for twelve licensed casino brands, so you can see whose answer the player gets.
On 23 October 2026 we searched Google US for twelve online casino brands licensed in US states or the UK, each with three wordings players use before a deposit: “[brand] review”, “[brand] withdrawal problems” and “is [brand] legit”. Thirty-six searches, 332 results, each classified by hand by who owns the site.
| What we measured | Result | What it means for your brand |
|---|
| “[brand] review”: the operator’s own site anywhere in the top ten | 4 of 12 brands. The first result: a review platform on 5, a forum or social thread on 4, an app store on 2, the operator on 1 | The search a player makes about you is answered by others. Your first job is to be one of the answers. |
| Trustpilot in the top ten | 12 of 12 “review” searches and 12 of 12 “legit” searches | Your Trustpilot profile is part of your brand page whether you manage it or not. Its rules decide what you may do there. |
| “[brand] withdrawal problems”: who holds the first result | A forum or social thread on 6 of 12. Reddit in the top ten on all 12. The operator’s help pages in the top ten on 11, first on 1 | On the question players fear most, other players answer first. Your help page ranks, but below the thread about it. |
| “is [brand] legit”: who owns the results | Affiliate and review sites 41 of 110; the operator’s own site in the top ten for 3 of 12 brands | Whether you are legit is decided on other people’s pages. A clear licence and payments page of your own is the missing answer. |
| Searches showing a casino page planted on an unrelated domain | 8 of 36 | Hacked or rented pages on government, university and small-business sites answer questions about licensed brands. They are reportable to Google, not answerable. |
| Searches showing an AI Overview | 2 of 36 | On Google these searches are still decided by the ten results. AI assistants are asked the same questions elsewhere, and we track those answers separately. |
Among the pages planted on unrelated domains: a Spanish regional education site, a Brazilian government portal and a university journal, each answering a player’s question about a licensed casino. Nobody at the operator wrote them. On the two complaint sites players check most, the score moves with how complaints are handled: complaint history is 25% of AskGamblers’ CasinoRank, and every unresolved complaint on Casino.Guru costs black points on its Safety Index.
Method: DataForSEO, Google US, desktop, 23 October 2026, top ten organic results for 36 searches (12 brands, three wordings). Snapshots with too few results were fetched again until clean. Owners classified by hand: the operator itself, review platform, affiliate or review site, forum or social, app store, video, media, complaint portal, planted page. Brand names are kept off this page. AskGamblers and Casino.Guru methods read on their own pages the same day.
